How to hare a hash (or host a happy hour)

If you want to hare a hash (or host a Friday night happy hour), there are three easy steps you need to take:

  1. Check the calendar to make sure the date you want is open.
  2. Contact mismangement to secure your date at [email protected].
  3. If you have never hared before, you might want to find an experienced cohare, and be sure to check out Roller Balls’ tips for haring. Also, you’ll get a better turnout (and a better chance of making back the money you spend) if you promote, promote, promote your run. In the olden days, hares used to promote runs by handing out flyers in the circle. Now, hares usually talk up their runs on the Yahoo group.

  1. The December Cyco Hash will start on Saturday, December 9th, at 10:00 a.ml. at the CVS Pharmacy on the northwest corner of Bissonnet and Wilcrest. Hashfee, $3, food and down down beer provided, BYOB. No glass containers, please. The trail is 100% road bike friendly.

  2. This is Jiffy Lube, from long ago. My wife, Not Nice Whole (otherwise Debby), remembers fondly doing mile 21 at the Houston Marathon. Are you still doing that? If so, we might be interested in joining you. It has been many years since we have Hashed, but my understanding is that “once a Hasher, always a Hasher”.
