The Great Pumpkin Run

The Run started from the YMCA at Waugh & Memorial.  It was a beautiful Houston Fall Day!  Sunny & 75 deg.  It was the largest Space City Run in anyone's recent memory.  Of course, when you only have half a mind, how long can that be?   Anyway, there must have been 50 people.  FireTunnel took HashCash... Two Bucks, Two Bucks, Two Bucks!

The trail headed West and North, the Pack immediately short cut to the water check and found themselves (unknowingly) running the trail backwards.  We figured that out, somewhere near I-10 and Sheperd.  From there we generally headed South.  About a dozen or so hounds (I saw HeartAche, JohnBoy) beat a long ass train across the tracks and quickly distanced ourselves from the rest of the Pack, stuck contemplating the "Throw Mama From the Train" run.   ManHandler was, annoyingly, 3 blocks ahead of me, pushing the twins in a double-wide baby jogger. 

The trail finished up by zig zaging south on Sheperd, through the Bayou Place Apartments, and Back over Memorial.  We were within eyesight of the Start as we crossed Memorial.  I saw HeartAche heading towards the Start thinking it was and A-to-A run.   Baby Huey quickly talked me out of following the over-opinionated HeartAche (just kidding!) and we found the end under a beautifully shaded spot near the Bayou.

The Run didn't last 45, minutes, making it a truly "Kinder and Gentler" Hash... ThankYou Hares!   ....But, that's not to say some Hashers we're Geek wannabees.  MinnyMoose and PumpMe we're out about 2 hours.
