The 2000 version of the annual Space City Astros Game Run was an
A-to-A Run starting and ending at the beautiful Allen's Landing (see
above). The Hares were Halfmoon, Dickless Tracy, and Bald Eagle (in
abstencia).
The trail headed east over Buffalo Bayou and the Main Street Bridge,
only to loop back into Downtown (FIRST BASE), past The Brewery Tap,
through the Theater District, and under Bayou Place. The underground
parking garage threw much of the pack for a loop, 1) all the marks had
disappeared due to the traffic and 2) Jones Hall was letting out, bewildered
theater-goers poured out of the stairway right where trail took the
hounds (yelling ON ON and ARE YOU?) back to street level. From there,
the trail went past several fountains (SECOND BASE), and then looped
back towards Enron Field. THIRD BASE was just past Enron Field in front
of a Bail Bond place.
ON HOME was back at Allen's Landing. CIA substituted for Bald Eagle.
In honor of Bald Eagle, BUD LIGHT was used for Down Down beer. The ON
ON ON was at Enron Field where the Astros played the Kansas City Royals.
Sinbad attended her 1st baseball game ever. The rest is highlighted
