The Trail had numberous shortcutting OPPORTUNITIES!
Trail started at Almeda Mall, had about
a mile of street, then went into a park and to a wonderfully long Back Check around
Windmill Lake! LicksHisOwn especially liked the long Back Check, because he knew
he'd been had by the hares! This was the 1st big short cut missed, because the
BC was only a few yards from Alta Loma street, and could have cut off a mile of street.
True trail went around the west side of the lake and into a very soggy pipeline
right-of-way.
Trail popped out onto Fuqua near a
beautiful lush green bayou (key to the rest of the trail). The bayou went straight
north all the way to Almeda Genoa Rd, parallel to Easthaven. But that would have
been too boring, and the hares weren't thru f*cking the hounds. True trail led west
down Fuqua and then into heavy shiggy with knee deep, shoe sucking mud and water.
After the shiggy, the trail headed back east and dumped back out onto the bayou, only 50
yards from the trail 2 miles earlier. This was the 2nd big short cut everyone
missed.
The 3rd big short cut opportunity came
shortly afterwards went the Bayou forked to the north and to the west. True trail
went west and did a big loop and came back to the bayou down Lambright.
The last enjoyment for the Hares was a
cute little circle jerk thru the boat storage yard, which really pissed off the FRB's.
It was most enjoyable because they fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Most
of the pack was spared that little tour. |
