H4 Run #1659: The TRUE Hangover Hash

Hared by Pull the Pr*ck Out, Brrrrrrgghh and NARC

After a long weekend of indulging in Maredsous 8, Allagash and BM2’s hella strong homebrew, I had a fever, and the only prescription was more cowbell… and the TRUE hangover hash!

Pull the Prick Out was in town for the holidays from France, so she teamed up with our super harriette, Brrrrrgghh and beer b*tch, NARC, to lay an urban trail on this cloudy, wintry Sunday before she heads home. The hounds met at the Harley Davidson parking lot at 1960 and 290 for a 3:00pm start, freezing our nips off waiting for chalk talk.

H4 Run #1656: Festivus!

Gang Members

From A$$wipe:

Thanks to all who celebrated the beautiful weather with us. I believe the final count was 107 attendees, including about a dozen newboots. Special thanks to my co-hares for the great day, and a very special thank you to St Arnolds brewery for providing the hash with a pre-release keg of Winter Stout. You won’t see that beer in the stores until after Christmas. Thanks to Laura for starting the Indian Leg Wrestling addition to our Feats of Strength…it was truly a contest in which everyone won.

Tired and happy,

From Pull the Plug:

The Festivus run had the largest turnout this year. We had 92 paying hashers, 3 hares, and 14 new boots. The facebook posting was a great idea. I think it really helped attendance.
And since Grind was able to get the St Arnold’s keg free, the hash made money, which we really needed to support our Spring Campout. Yea…..way to go hares.

H4 Run #1637: Island Run

Hares: Horsefli Drivebi, Roy Orifice, Pussy Checker

Grind’s pics from the spectacular ending of this run are here.

Found this on the Harris County Flood Control website:

The Hill at Sims Greenway is a large stormwater detention basin, located adjacent to Sims Bayou near Scott Street and West Orem Drive. It is capable of holding almost 325 million gallons of excess stormwater, greatly reducing the risk of flooding for area residents. It is a model stormwater detention basin and primary example of how flood control projects can be more than functional. Unlike other District detention basins, this basin features a hill that is almost 60 feet tall. The hill feature alone required almost 1.6 million cubic yards of soil, utilized from on-site excavation and disposal total detention excavation was more than 2.1 million cubic yards of soil. When standing on top of the hill, the site appears almost canyon-like, offering spectacular views of the Downtown Houston skyline. The District hopes to partner with another entity, such as Harris County or the City of Houston, to adopt the site and create park amenities and multi-use features for area residents. Nearly 10,000 trees have been planted at the site.

H4 Run #1635: Fiestavus!

Hared by Menage Myself, P*ssy Checker, and ID10T

More of Grind’s pictures from this run can be seen at this link.

Fiestavus for the rest of us!  We met behind the AMC at Willowbrook Plaza on the northwest side of Houston.  As we gathered, the hares emerged with their El Chico mini ponchos and sombreros, in classic Tres Amigo style!

There was high drama when Hooter Bill was involved in a not-so-high speed chase from the eager cop who was perched at the t!tty bar on the corner.  Seems Hooter absentmindedly rolled through the stop sign, but he was able to talk the policeman out of a ticket. Continue reading
