The 99th monthly run of Galveston H3. Start at 4 pm (4:45 pm) on Sat 7/25/2009 on west Galveston Isle at Buccaneer Lane (12-mile road) (actually a long couple of blocks away at end of Mutiny Lane near Pocket Park 3. The Euro Twins warned of shiggy galore for the MorOn trail, with the need for gators or high socks for this “challenging” terrain. We met at the first parking lot off of Westheimer Parkway at George Bush Park, by a pond where families were picnicking and fishing. The hares provided bottled water for thirsty hashers, since the water check was to be well into the run.
After the extensive chalk talk, the hares pointed the way, and the pack was off to the north. Across the highway, under a fence, and there was a check, where the FRB’s immediately found trail… running single file down a dry creek bed, dodging branches and debris to a big fat FALSE. Continue reading

Pull the Plug has posted images from the 6th annual Tourette’s Run here.
The fifth analversary of the Tourette’s Hash was held this Sunday on the southeast side with over 60 hashers in attendance to celebrate and give to this worthy cause. S*ck IT!! We met at the Chili’s on the corner of Beltway and Fairmont Parkway. Chalk talk was given in water… D^MN^TION!!… and the hares advised of a two mile walker’s trail and a turkey/eagle split. LICKETY H@R SPL!T!! Our new boots had great mentors to show the way just in case the chalk talk was not clear or evaporated too soon.
The pack was off at around 4:30pm, across the parking lot and into the shiggy… thorny, trippy shiggy, but only for a short distance. SHORT-N-C@RLIES!! Continue reading

I was off playing Land Rovers in College Station and got to the start of the run slightly late. At 4:45 p.m., I called LP from the start, advising I was getting ready to run the trail solo. No maps on the cars, so no clue which direction the end was. But a manly arrow pointed towards the front door of the elementery school…… A good start! Continue reading

It was a perfect day for a hash run, to celebrate the Ides of March hared by McPisser, Cums Anyway, Just Karyn (named later in the day), and Just Calvin. Many togas were on display, some good, some bad, and some ugly. And even some worn by our canine friends. Hooterus Billus, doing his best Julius Caesar impression, had a two-minute head start before the rest of the toga-clad pack, plus one gorilla in a Toga departed the Fonde Rec center towards Downtown. The always entertaining, and never boring Leather and Lace Run was upon us. Who would show up in their best “bedroom” attire to sway the votes of the hares Vanilla Starfish and Pearl Necklace, and the hash as to who is “best dressed”? Our run began at an Elementary School over in Friendswood. The pack slowly started showing up around 3pm after the extreme amount of traffic on I-45, or for the fact that Rustic Ln. wasn’t marked with a sign. Hooter Bill, who arrived early, went back out to the street and made an arrow so as the rest of the pack would realize where to turn. He managed to save about 6-8 people! Way to go Hooter! More pics from the February 2009 Cychohash can be viewed here.(Ed. note: Shiggy-shaggy!) rode 15.2 and I rode 17.3. It was quite nice but boy was it windy. Can someone please tell me how you can ride your bike, twist in turn in streets, and be in the wind 85% of the time? I do say, the directions with the wind were phenomenal. The food was also yummy — meatless red and veggie lasagna. I had thirds. Kudos to Small and Leia for riding the trail together. Leia just turned 4 and rode in the Kanga Pack with Small the whole way. What a great family experience. Please remember, children are always welcome at the Cychohash. Continue reading
