Join the Houston Hash for the second annual Faaaallllllll Campout, during which the bravest of us will jump out of a perfectly good airplane. (Skydiving not required for campout or hash.)

The campout will take place Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at Skydive Spaceland, located about halfway between Houston and Galveston off of Highway 288 in gorgeous Rosharon, Texas.

This is a BARE BONES, BYOEverything campout. We will be camping on the property of Skydive Spaceland, which is a really big field. Mismanagement will provide showers and toilets and most likely a keg of beer for post-skydive festivities. Here’s a rough schedule:

• Friday Evening: Set up tents
• Friday Night: Socialize
• Saturday 8 a.m.: Jump out of an airplane
• Saturday Afternoon: Galveston Hash Run
• Saturday Evening: Slip-N-Slide? and other hash games
• Saturday Night: Flippy Cup and other debauchery
• Saturday Midnight: Starlight Run around the Lake
• Sunday Morning: R & R
• Sunday Afternoon: Regular H4 Run

Base price for skydiving via tandem jump is $219. If we get more than 20 people signed up it’ll be $169 each.

There are two steps to registering for the event.

FIRST: If you want to skydive, you must make your own reservations at Skydive Spaceland before Sept. 29.

• Hashers should call 1-800-SKYDIVE to reserve their spot with our group “Hash House Harriers”, on Saturday morning Oct 1, with group leader Christopher Holland. Leave your geek name for registration, we’ll get a discount!
• If Hashers deposit $50 over the phone this will be applied to their tandem jump cost of $169 (assuming we get 20 people)
• Sat morning group gathering for check-in/education is 8 am. MUST BE SOBER!
• Don’t register online. Last year some people did and weren’t included in the group discount. Call In! We need 20+ in the group for us to each have the $169 rate.
• Dress for the weather. don’t wear flip flops on the jump.

SECOND: If you want to camp, price for the campout will be $10. Registration forms for this portion will be available shortly. This cost includes the Saturday run and Sunday run but does not include food or anything else. Remember, this is a BARE BONES campout and your $10 goes towards the toilets, showers and having a place to camp, plus your rego for the Galveston hash on Saturday.

NOTE: You can skydive without camping OR camp without skydiving. But you really should skydive. Because it’s badass.
