Christmas Pub Crawl

Hares: Pipes, Snatcha, and 8″ Crack

A drinking we must go, a drinking we must go…high ho the merry oh….a drinking we must go! The Christmas Hash Pub Crawl had arrived, finally!

The festivities started off on Friday night with your hares, Pipes, Snatcha, and 8″ Crack. The pack met up at 6 p.m. at the Front Porch for an evening of fun drinking! While we had announced that the hares would be off at 7 p.m., plans changed due to numerous phone calls letting us know that I-45 was at a complete standstill. So as we are such nice hares, we pushed off and headed towards bar #2 roughly around 7:30 p.m. Trail led us to our next destination, which was the Coach’s Pub. I was particularly happy because yet again, they had my new favorite beer, Kona Longboarder! As my drink arrived, so did the pack with complaints of not enough marks on trail! Seriously!!?

So after about 30-40 minutes there, we made our way to the next bar on our list, Little Woodrow’s. 8″ Crack was in heaven as I walked in….it was a Sausage Fest in there!! Many handsome men for our single…and not so single Harriett’s to feast our eyes upon! Some of the hounds were happy because the Tamale Guy was walking around selling food! And we all know food is essential while doing a Pub Crawl!

Next bar please! On On we went to the Tipsy Clover. A bar we weren’t sure if we were going to hit because it had been closed a few nights earlier during our trail scouting! We were happy to turn the corner and find it was open with few patrons! That means quicker service for us hashers! Good beer was enjoyed for another 30-45 minutes, and then we headed to our next stop!

We ended up doing a BIG circle jerk around a block and stopped at The Doghouse Tavern, which had a nice cozy fire going! We ordered our drinks and much to my happiness, I ran into a good friend of mine who happened to be there enjoying some drinks of her own. As usual, I tried to recruit her into the hash, but alas, work always interferes for her! There ended up being confusion amongst the hares at this point. We heard Pipes yell, hares are off, and then disappear! So Snatch and I took off towards the last bar, not seeing any marks and wondering where the hell Pipes was. Then my cell phone rings…”Where the Bloody Hell are you all”. He was still at the bar…MEN! We actually listened to him and he didn’t do what he said!

So it’s off to our final destination, Late Nite Pie! We chose this for their tasty pizza and the fact they are open till 3a.m.! So our hashers could have maximum pleasure enjoying beer as long as they can still stand!

All in all, we had an excellent turn out for the Pub Crawl. Never saw Grind, so we don’t know if he actually smashed the glass or not! Thanks to all who made it out, braved the cool temps, and drank some excellent drinks along the way!
