The pack gathered up on the east side of town for a 3:00 pm start. Herman Brown Park was a great place to start a hash. Knowing who the hares were, medic we anticipated it to be a longer run.  At the start, we saw construction workers all around. Working on a Sunday? Hashing is much better!

The hares told us that the trail was marked in flour. They also told us to avoid the construction workers.  The pack took off and it did not take us long to find some wooded areas.  There was plenty of shiggy to be found.  Continue reading →

Hurrah! Finally we started a hash inside the 610 loop.  Thank you hares for a convenient location for so many hashers!  We gathered up for point A at the Lowes parking lot at Gulf Gate Mall. It was a nice cool day,so most decided to do trail in long sleeves. Not too many days in Houston that we are comfortable running in more clothes.

 The hares noticed a few extra new boots, so they made sure that they were “front and center” for the chalk talk.  Continue reading →

It was appropriate on 10/10/10 that the hares paid homage to Douglas Adams and his tome of books by having Bass Ale (“Goodbye and Thanks for all the Fish”) after the run.  It would also have been right on point if the run was 4.2 miles (42 is the meaning of life), but thanks to the hares, the run was a little longer, which was great, given how beautiful the weather was. Maybe this should have been called the New Boot Run, symptoms or the Campbell Family Picnic?  What a wonderful day for a hash run! The Campbell’s put on a most  excellent hash. They started us at a familiar area, prostate I-45 south to Fairmont Parkway. We met in a parking lot near a Ci-Ci Pizza. Subject:  Hare U – Class II

Attendance: 6 new Boots,1 Visitor, 2 Hare U students ,1 hare-structor, 97 regular hashers, one dead body.

Objective: The on-sec will re-count the tales and trials of the Hare U Class II.

Activities planned: Drinking, Running, Drinking, Singing, Drinking.

Introduction: This hasher loves it when we hash inside the loop. I am especially happy for a Memorial Park area start. The instructor for Hare University II is truly wise. There is so much to explore in the trails. Hooter and the Reverend had that chance to explore and have the “find of the decade”. More of that in a moment. Continue reading →
